Introduction
Your privacy is important to us. This privacy policy explains how OneMail collects, processes and protects information when you use our SMTP testing platform and API services.
By using OneMail, you agree to the practices described in this privacy policy.
Information used for SMTP testing
OneMail allows anyone to test SMTP email configurations without creating an account. In order to perform an SMTP test, you need to provide certain information such as the SMTP host, port, encryption method, SMTP username, SMTP password, sender name, sender email address, recipient email address, subject and message.
This information is used solely to establish an SMTP connection and attempt to send the email exactly as provided. We do not modify your SMTP credentials or email content during processing.
SMTP logs
After each SMTP test, a unique debug log is generated containing the SMTP conversation and connection details to help diagnose configuration or delivery issues. These logs are available for download from the email logs page.
For your security, SMTP passwords are never written to the log files. Password fields are automatically masked before a log is generated.
Log files are automatically deleted approximately every hour. This limited retention period helps minimise the storage of sensitive information while still allowing users sufficient time to download and review their logs.
Security recommendations
While OneMail takes reasonable steps to protect your information, we strongly recommend changing your SMTP password once testing has been completed, particularly if the credentials belong to a production email account.
Analytics and rate limiting
To maintain platform reliability and prevent abuse, OneMail collects limited technical information such as your IP address, browser or device information and request metadata. This information is used solely for analytics, performance monitoring and rate limiting.
Wherever possible, these services are implemented using our own infrastructure. This helps minimise the exposure of user information to third party services such as Google Analytics or Cloudflare.
Third party services
OneMail does not sell your personal information. Information submitted during SMTP testing is processed only for the purpose of performing the requested email test and providing diagnostic results.
Changes to this privacy policy
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to our services, security practices or legal requirements. Updates become effective immediately upon publication without prior notice.
